Above are the current faces of the latest game in the MMU Nerdfighters societies role play game of ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire.’ I will do a run down of my characters background as follows:

Hoster Giselfrid, a 22 year old male born into the noble house Giselfrid. He is an unattractive man, a bent nose, cauliflower ears and a handful of scars lend him a rough exterior that is not too attractive to the ladies of the realm. He is also small of stature, 5”3’, and a large, 15st, muscular build that comes from his time honing his sword skills in the yard.

Hoster is headstrong, often likely to dive head first into a fight or brawl, often over a cheap tavern wench or spilled ale. His lascivious and drunken habit have landed him in the beds of many tavern women, but as of yet he has sired no bastards. [GM wants me to roll every time I sleep with a wench to test for bastards :D]

These habits come out in court, when politics and realm matters are concerned. He will become loud, obnoxious and detached from the proceedings. Often being removed by guards for feeling up the local lords daughters.

This has led his relationship with his father and brother is one of pure loathing. His father and brother prefer the more subtle, political style handling of every situation. Preferring to use words than fists. Hoster sees this as cowardice, wanting to use might and military action where he can.

Penny Arcade Ep3

I want to say I’m in love with this game, but putting such a large label on something so fleeting would do the idea of love a disservice. Lets just say I am enjoying the pixelated experience with such vigor that I’m finding it hard to focus on any other task that may be required of me.

This is, however, a condition that will pass in a day or two. Once the completion of this digital media is at hand and I can sit back from it a truly gauge my experience away from fan boyish ecstasy. However, the games almost militant attitude towards difficulty (or my own inability to play games) will hinder my recovery some.

Still, a worth sequel to a series that has kept me entertained.
